Security Alert:  If you are an African Diaspora woman traveling and living alone in The Gambia, please do so with caution. Poverty can lead to desperation among some of the members of the indigenous population and you may become a target based on your perceived wealth etc.  Keep in close contact with trusted family members, friends and update them frequently with your current situation.
